1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies."

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Services to function. These include authentication tokens, CSRF protection, load-balancing affinity, and session continuity. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies without losing the ability to use the Services.

Functional

Remember preferences such as theme, last-used region, and dismissed notices. These improve usability but are not required for core functionality.

Analytics

First-party analytics that help us understand which documentation pages and product surfaces are most useful, where developers encounter friction, and how to prioritize improvements. We aggregate this data and do not sell it.

Marketing

Used sparingly to measure the effectiveness of awareness campaigns and to attribute documentation traffic. Where required by law (such as in the EU/EEA and the UK), marketing cookies are set only after explicit consent.

3. Specific cookies

The table below lists the most common cookies we set. A complete current list is provided in the in-product cookie preferences panel.

  • visca_session — strictly necessary; authenticates your session in Visca Cloud. Session duration.
  • visca_csrf — strictly necessary; prevents cross-site request forgery. Session duration.
  • visca_theme — functional; remembers your preferred theme. One year.
  • visca_region — functional; remembers your last-used region for routing. One year.
  • visca_an — analytics; aggregated usage signals (first-party). Thirteen months.

4. Third-party cookies

We use a small number of third-party services for documentation hosting, support chat, and identity-provider integrations. Where these services set cookies, they do so under their own privacy and cookie policies. The current list of third-party services that set cookies is available in the in-product cookie preferences panel.

5. Managing cookies

  • You can manage cookies in our preferences panel, available from the footer of every page on visca.ai (in jurisdictions where consent management is required) or via your account settings in Visca Cloud.
  • Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may break parts of the Services that depend on strictly necessary cookies.
  • You can opt out of analytics globally via the Do Not Track signal sent by your browser, where supported.

6. Changes

We will update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
