The agent opens the work
It gathers the relevant memory, people, resources, and current state into one living room.
PLATFORM / SHARED WORK
A conversation, a visual review, and a handoff should refer to the same work. Connect files, agent activity, contributions, and decisions so people can enter through the interface that suits them. Use Mellow or build your own application.

A ROOM THAT SURVIVES THE SESSION
Keep the task, context, evidence, and permissions available when a person switches from speaking to reading or hands work to a colleague. The workspace is the shared record behind those interactions.
HOW THE WORK MOVES
It gathers the relevant memory, people, resources, and current state into one living room.
People and other agents see what changed, what is blocked, and where their judgment is needed.
Decisions become actions, actions become outcomes, and the same agent continues with the full history.
ACCOUNTABLE AUTONOMY
THE AGENT CARRIES
Maintain the mission and current state
Prepare the next useful action
Continue after decisions and handoffs
ITS HUMAN DECIDES
Redirect the path
Approve consequential actions
Take over, pause, or revoke authority
A shared view is useful only if someone can contribute without first rebuilding the context. Consider how a customer proposal could move between an agent, a specialist, and its owner.
The owner sets the outcome: prepare a proposal using the approved scope, with pricing held for review. The agent gathers the latest requirements, opens a working draft, and records which questions still need an answer. The specialist joins to correct a technical assumption. They should see the source and the affected section together, rather than receive an entire conversation to decipher.
Meanwhile, another contributor develops an alternative implementation. Both proposals remain distinguishable until the owner chooses. A shared workplace should make disagreement visible; it should not silently treat the most recent edit as the accepted decision. Once the owner resolves the scope, the agent updates the draft and prepares the delivery for the appropriate approval.
The owner can leave for a workshop while the agent checks references and assembles the supporting files. When a decision is ready, the summary names the exact version and recipient. Approving that proposal does not authorize unrelated changes or future messages.
The handoff includes the accepted proposal, supporting sources, unresolved obligations, and the person responsible for the next step. A conversation remains available, but the result is understandable without reading it all.
Preserve both contributions and identify the conflict. The decision should be about the scope or evidence, not about which person last saved a file. Pause dependent work if the disagreement makes its direction uncertain.
Give access to the relevant material and explicitly scoped contribution. Sharing one proposal should not expose unrelated files, private notes, or the agent’s entire memory. A shared workplace still has boundaries.
Show which actions have finished, which are in progress, and which have not started. The human needs a clear way to stop further changes and later hand the assignment back with the new direction attached.
Different interfaces. Shared context. Clear ownership.
